Solo photography show at Balance - The Salon in Baltimore features 13 double exposure images documenting my life moving from Baltimore County, Maryland to Arlington, Virginia. Accompanying the show is a 32 page book that features the images in the show, poems, and scanned flowers from the last house my family and I shared in Maryland.

Introduction to book
In June of 2024, I hung 13 double exposure images at Balance - The Salon in Remington. These photos are of landscapes of the East Coast ranging from Maine down to South Carolina.
portals embodies my exploration of imper-manence, metaphysics, and unity. This practice includes a book, a photo installation, and a reception, all of which seek to weave together the ephemeral threads of memory and time, the syn-chronicities of existence, and the connections that unite us.
This book, a culmination of three years of work, presents 14 images. Each image is layered by two moments in time and taken (mostly) in different locations, to embody the essence of impermanence. The collection of writings are from my archive and during moments of grief this summer.
In creating these images, I play with the serendipity of double exposure. My process involves selecting subjects and locations, then capturing them through a single roll of film. The resulting overlays offer a narrative that transcends individual moments, inviting viewers to contemplate the layered worlds these images create.
The writings explore impermanence, specifically grief. The summer of 2024 held much grief with the loss of a dear friend, my dog, and shifting family dynamics.
I’m interested in what’s beyond our reality and how we are all united. What happens after we die? How do we connect with the memory/spirit of those who’ve passed? What do signs look like from those on the other side? I seek to understand our unity with nature and the transformative experience of love. What is it like to experience love for the first time? Through this work, I invite you to explore these themes and discover the beauty and interconnectedness that go beyond the veil of time.
